EnCO2re Partner TU Berlin has published a comprehensive new report – aimed at industry experts as well as non-scientists – that looks at CO2 utilisation from a variety of angles, giving a summary of the technology in 2017.
This 45-page, open-access report provides an introduction to CCU, examines the current state of R&D, and analyses the economic, environmental, and public perception aspects of this emerging technology. It also provides insights from industrial and start-up companies in the field.
‘This publication is an important contribution to the ongoing debate about the role of CO2 utilisation in the decarbonisation of the European economy’, says Dr. Evangelos Tzimas, Deputy Head of the ‘Knowledge for the Energy Union’ unit at the Energy, Transport and Climate Directorate of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in a forward to the report.
The report is available free of charge online at: https://depositonce.tu-berlin.de/handle/11303/6247, or upon request as a printed version.
